Higher Education Institutions urged to collaborate to promote quality higher education

Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in the country have been called upon to collaborate and ensure the provision of transformative, quality education to Malawian students, in order to achieve the goals of the Malawi 2063 agenda.

This call was made by Dr. Harry Gombachika, who represented the NCHE Chairperson, during a recent consultative meeting with Vice Chancellors and Registrars from HEIs in the southern region.

Dr. Gombachika emphasised that through meaningful collaboration, HEIs can produce graduates who are equipped with the necessary skills to address the current national challenges in Malawi.

He further highlighted that the NCHE is dedicated to working with both public and private HEIs to improve the quality of education, in line with the aspirations of the Malawi 2063 development agenda.

Speaking on behalf of the Vice Chancellors and Registrars, Dr. Nancy Chitera, the Vice Chancellor of the Malawi University of Business and Applied Sciences, encouraged fellow administrators to strive for excellence in higher education provision in their respective institutions.
